The Welder Level "B" Program teaches a student how to weld ferrous and non-ferrous metals in all positions, on both plate and/or pipe, using SMAW, GTAW, and FCAW processes. A student can expect to finish the Welder Level "B" Program in roughly 1 year.

The Welder Level "B" Program consists of both in-class training and work-based training. The in-class portion accounts for approx. 4 months of the program, while the remaining 8 months are devoted to the work-based portion.

After graduation, the Welder Level "B" certified individual will be well versed in operating a shielded metal arc welder, a gas metal arc welder, a flux core arc welder, and a gas tungsten arc welder.
