The Tully Rinckey Foundation is pleased to a $3,000 scholarship for the Fall 2024 semester to a new or current Syracuse University College of Law, and University at Buffalo Law School student that has served or is currently serving in the military or reserves.

APPLICATION & SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To apply for the Tully Rinckey Foundation Military Scholarship, applicants must complete a brief 500-word essay on one of the two following topics:

  • How has your experience with the military impacted your choice to attend law school and become a lawyer?
  • How do you see yourself using your law career in the future to benefit service members and your local community?

Please submit the following:

  • The completed application form.
  • Current law school transcript or acceptance letter.
  • Current resume.
  • Essay on one of the two topics listed above.
  • Proof of military service.

KEY DATES

Applications and supporting material must be submitted no later than October 15, 2024. Scholarship winners will be notified of their win via phone and email on November 15, 2024, and have the option of having the scholarship check mailed to them or sent directly to the financial aid office.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Following the application deadline, essays and submissions will be reviewed and judged based on the following:

  • Responsiveness to the question.
  • Grammar and style.
  • Originality and thoughtfulness.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for selection, applicants must:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.
  • Submit all requested application information before October 15, 2024.
    • Please note: Multiple applications will not be factored into the decision-making process.
    • Not currently be employed or have immediate family be employed by Tully Rinckey PLLC or Tully Rinckey America Service Corporation.
