DOUGLAS SUTHERLAND COOMBES TRUST
The income from the trust created is to be used to assist a deserving student or students in the final year of studies in each of the faculties of law and medicine and is to be distributed such that the award shall alternate from year to year between men and women students. Exercising the discretion given to it, the Law School has determined that: financial need is to be the basis of determining the recipients of the Coombes Bursary, more than one Award will normally be made annually, and the criteria for determining financial need will be the same as that provided for in the General Bursary Application process.
