The Canadian Institute for Advanced Legal Studies has been a great success in both its lecture series and the scholarship programme. Many people, over the years, have been responsible for that success. The Honourable Douglas Carruthers, our Honorary President, has been involved from the commencement of The Cambridge Lectures. Frank McArdle, our recently retired Executive Director, has been involved since 1981. We owe each of them a huge debt for their leadership, vision and hard work over many, many years.
