NACME partners with like-minded entities to provide scholarships, resources, and opportunities for high-achieving, underrepresented minority college students pursuing careers in engineering and computer science.
NACME is responsible for over $5 million in scholarships awarded annually to underrepresented minority (URM) students. NACME supports approximately 1,000 underrepresented minority engineering and computer students annually.
Scholarship Eligibility
To be eligible for any of the NACME administered scholarships students must either be a high school senior, within one year of graduating from high school, or matriculating at a community college with the intent to pursue an engineering or computer science program at a NACME Partner Institution, or be currently matriculating in an engineering or computer science program at a NACME Partner Institution, a US citizen or permanent resident, and meet the minimum GPA requirements of the relevant scholarship. NACME's mission is to increase representation of Black/African American, Latinx/Hispanic-American and Native/American Indian in the fields of engineering and computer science.

The National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering (NACME) is arguably the largest provider of college scholarships for underrepresented minorities pursuing degrees at schools of engineering. NACME defines underrepresented minorities as individuals who self-identify as Black/African American, Latinx/Hispanic American, Native/American Indian. Our mission is to enrich society with an American workforce that champions diversity in STEM by increasing the number of underrepresented minorities in engineering and computer science.
