The Part-Time TAG Program for County College Students provides grants to eligible students while enrolled for between 6-11 credits. The amount of an individual award varies based upon the student's need, cost of attendance and available funding.
Eligibility Requirements
Students must:
A) Have a high school diploma or recognized equivalent
B) Demonstrate financial need
C) Students must be citizens, eligible non-citizens or eligible to file the NJ Alternative Financial Aid Application.
D) Be a resident of New Jersey for at least 12 consecutive months immediately prior to enrollment
E) Be registered with Selective Service (if required)
F) Maintain satisfactory academic progress
G) Be a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in an approved degree or certificate program
You are not eligible if:
A) You have a bachelor degree or associate degree if enrolled at a two-year college
B) You received the maximum allowable number of grant payments
C) You owe a refund of a Federal or State grant
D) You are in default on a Federal or State loan
E) You are enrolled in a program leading to a degree in theology or divinity
How Do I Apply?
To be considered for a TAG award, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or NJ Alternative Financial Aid Application within established state deadlines* including the additional New Jersey State Questions.
