The purpose of the Robert Holmes Scholarship Program is to assist the legal dependents of Michigan Teamsters in pursuing a program of undergraduate education.
Up to six one-time scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded to students entering college as a freshman in the fall. Award determinations will be made with the assistance of the Robert Holmes Scholarship Advisory Committee.
WHO MAY APPLY?
A) Scholarship applicants must be entering their first year of college in the fall and be legal dependents of members of Michigan locals of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT).
B) Members must be active or have been placed on a seniority list as of March 15 of the previous year.
C) Dependents of employees of the Michigan Teamsters Joint Council #43 and/or its affiliates are not eligible, nor are dependents of employers of Michigan Teamsters.
D) Employees of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan and their dependents, members of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan Board of Trustees and their dependents as well as the members of the Scholarship Advisory Committee and their dependents are ineligible for scholarship consideration.
