Halifax Friends of UPEI Entrance Scholarship

Awarded to a full-time first-year student entering UPEI from the Halifax region (preference). The recipient will have a minimum average of 85%, will have participated in community service activities during high school, and is not in receipt of another scholarship of more than $2,500.

Background:

A group of UPEI alumni and former Islanders who now live in Halifax formed the "Halifax Friends of UPEI" in 2004. With leadership from Roger Sinclair (BBA'79), Chapter President of the Halifax Friends of UPEI, the group holds fundraising events each year to support an entrance scholarship for a student entering UPEI in full-time study who is from the Halifax region.
