Children of insurance industry practitioners can give their post-secondary education a leg-up with one of several scholarships available. The John M. Toomer Education Scholarship is:

A) Administered by IBABC.

B) Awarded each spring.

C) $5,000 for first or subsequent year of study in a post-secondary institution.

D) Applicants must be employees or relatives of BC insurance industry practitioners.

E) Applicants must show commitment to community service, extra-curricular activities, and mentoring or tutoring others.

F) Added preference given to applicants intending to pursue a career in the education field upon completion of post-secondary studies.

G) Preference given to applicants with a connection to an IBABC member.
