Two NBFL Solidarity Awards valued at $500 each are offered annually. The objective of the awards is to encourage greater public awareness and understanding of the value of unions to workers and society.
Funded by AIL Canada, a unionized insurance provider whose New Brunswick employees are represented by CEP Local 247, the NBFL Solidarity Awards serve to promote greater awareness and understanding of unions.
Applicants must be pursuing post secondary education on a full-time basis or be enrolled in high school at the Grade 12 level or in the General Education Development (GED) program.
Applicants must return a completed application form and comply with all entry rules. The deadline for receipt of entries is 15 June each year. The winners will be notified when the decision is reached by the New Brunswick Federation of Labour and official announcement of the winner will be made by the Secretary-Treasurer of the New Brunswick Federation of Labour.
