Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) takes more lives each year than AIDS, some common cancers such as breast and lung, car accidents, house fires, and gunshot wounds – COMBINED! SCA affects all ages, races, and genders. Yet, unlike other injuries and illnesses, there's a therapy that can save the majority of SCA victims – early defibrillation with an AED!
Unfortunately, when someone is experiencing SCA, time is of the essence, and victims lose approximately 7-10% chance of survival for every minute that passes.
