Attorney Marc Karlin of Karlin & Karlin works with people from a variety of different backgrounds. As a personal injury and immigration lawyer, Marc helps his clients get a second chance and sees firsthand the impact it has on their lives.
This year, Karlin & Karlin is proud to announce The Second Chance Scholarship. This is an opportunity to hear from students about a time when they were offered a second chance or offered someone else a second chance. We want to hear your story and the impact, growth, and change that came with it.
The scholarship winner will be chosen based on the criteria outlined below and will be awarded $1,000.
Scholarship Eligibility
The eligibility requirements for The Second Chance Scholarship are as follows:
A) Applicants must be currently enrolled in or about to attend an accredited community college, undergraduate or graduate program within the United States
B) Applicants must have a current GPA of 3.0 or higher
Application
A complete application for this scholarship will include:
A) A Resume
B) A current academic transcript (clearly showing your Cumulative GPA)
C) A 1,000-word essay describing a time you were offered a second chance or you offered someone else a second chance and the impact and the growth or change that came with it.
At the end of your essay please include a short explanation of how, if chosen, you will use the scholarship funds to pursue your educational goals.
Deadline
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must submit their complete application (resume, transcript, and essay) on or before November 30, 2020.
