The Next On Track scholarship provides the selected recipient with financial assistance and promotes careers in the themed entertainment and attraction industry.*
General Eligibility Requirements
A) Applicants must be a citizen, national or legal permanent resident of the U.S.
B) Applicants must be either a high school senior or an undergraduate/graduate student currently enrolled full-time at an accredited United States vocational, junior college, or four-year educational institution
C) Applicants must be a full- time, associate/bachelor/ or graduate seeking student by the upcoming academic calendar of 2020-2021
D) Applicants must possess at least a 3.0 unweighted GPA on a weighted scale
E) Applicants should be students who demonstrate passion for a career in the themed entertainment field, including but not limited to: theme parks, zoos, museums, and aquariums
F) Applications are open to any major or field of study, as long as students can demonstrate interest in the themed attraction industry
Selection Criteria:
The Next On Track Scholarship recipients are evaluated using a a rating system, based on the 3 categories of the application:
A) Demonstration of industry interest and career goals (200 word short essay)
B) Creativity in Concept (Attraction Concept Submission)
C) Academic & Professional Strengths (Resume Submission)
Deadlines:
The scholarship deadline is October 1st, 2020.
Applications will not be evaluated until after October 1st, 2020.
