The Selfless Act of Giving Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship award available to one student who gives back to their community. Describe a time you acted as a volunteer to better your community and the impact it had on the patrons, the organization, and you. Our hope is that this scholarship will encourage students to get involved in their communities in whatever capacity they can. No effort is too small when it comes to helping others.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
A) Applicant is a U.S. citizen currently enrolled or about to attend an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program within the United States
B) Academic achievement as reflected by a minimum 3.0 GPA.
The applicant must then write a 1,000-word essay explaining how volunteers are essential to help the community and how volunteering has had a positive effect on your life.
In order to apply for The Selfless Act of Giving Scholarship, an applicant must submit the following items on or before October 31, 2020:
A) A Resume, including up to date contact information
B) A current academic transcript, clearly stating a cumulative GPA
C) A 1,000-word essay describing the student's volunteer efforts and the impact this volunteer work had on the community
The scholarship will award $1,000 to one student to be used to help them achieve their educational goals.
