The Mitty Guerra Memorial Scholarship, in the amount of $2,000.00, is awarded annually to a Hispanic woman residing in the Greater Austin area* who has shown determination in overcoming barriers to accomplish her educational goals.

This scholarship targets low income students who are struggling to stay in school and in serious financial need. Eligible applicants are usually, but not necessarily, beginning their post secondary education, have no more than 40 college credit hours, but have not been able to continue or complete their education because of financial, family, or challenging life circumstances.
