The Seminole County Historical Society 2020 Collegiate Scholarship is awarded to an individual in one of three categories:
1. A graduating Seminole County high school senior (public, private, virtual, or home school) that has a GPA of at least 3.5 and is planning to pursue an undergraduate degree with a concentrated study of a minimum of 18 credit hours in History at an accredited college or university in the United States in 2020.
2. An undergraduate college student with a GPA of at least 3.0 and is a History major or minor, is enrolled at either Seminole State College or the University of Central Florida, and will not graduate until after December 2020.
3. A graduate student with a GPA of at least 3.0 enrolled in a Master's degree program in the Department of History at the University of Central Florida who will not graduate until after December 2020.
This is a one-time financial award in the amount of $1000. The award may be used to pay tuition or to reimburse the purchase of textbooks used in college classes. Winner will also receive a one-year student membership in the Seminole County Historical Society. Winner may also receive other recognition including but not limited to an award plaque, certificate of achievement, etc.
Applicants must reside in Seminole County. Applicants must be citizens of the United States.
