Active 20-30 International provides young adults an opportunity for personal growth, friendships, and leadership development while improving the quality of life for children in our community. Active 20-30 Club of Greater Sacramento #1032 consists of women ages 20 - 39 from the Greater Sacramento area who volunteer their time to help children in the local area through fundraising and hands-on events. As part of that mission, we are pleased to announce our scholarship opportunities. (Applicants can only apply to one scholarship opportunity)
This scholarship was established in 2010 to recognize students who are committed to their communities.
Requirements and qualifications:
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
- Community Service/volunteer experience
- Planning to attend a two (2) or four (4) year college or university, Vocational or Trade School in the upcoming academic year
- Graduating high school senior
- Must reside or attend school in Greater Sacramento (Sacramento, Placer, Yolo Counties)

- Applicants must fill out the application by making a personal copy of the document.
- Essay #1: Community service essay: Active 20-30’s mission is “Providing young adults an opportunity for personal growth, friendships, and leadership development while improving the quality of life for the underserved children in our communities.” Please describe how you have embodied this mission through your community service work. Please provide specific examples. What did others gain from your service? What did you gain from your service?
- Essay #2: The Active 20-30 Club is comprised of members with a variety of educational backgrounds and careers. What are your college plans and future goals? What are you considering majoring in and why? How do you envision giving back to the community in the next 2 years? What made you choose your major and what attributes do you have that would make you a great professional in your chosen field?
- Submit a copy of their high school transcript.
- Verification of community service hours.
- Optional: Letter of Recommendation(s). Applicants may submit up to two letters of recommendation from individuals who are not related to the applicant.
