The AVEC Scholarship Committee awards up to 20 $1,000 vocational, technical and academic scholarships each new school year. The program was changed and for the first time, scholarships may also be awarded throughout the year to students attending schools that start at different times of the year. All applications for fall semester are due by April 15, winners will be announced by mid July, and distribution of funds to university or trade school will begin mid August. All Applications for spring semester are due by August 15 and winners will be announced by mid November, and distribution of funds to university or trade school will begin mid December.

B) All Applications for spring semester are due by August 15, winners will be announced by mid Nov, and distribution of funds to university or trade school will begin mid December.

C) Applications and all required supporting documents should be mailed to Attn: AVEC Scholarship Program, 4831 Eagle Street, Anchorage, AK 99503.

D) The recipient must be an active member of AVEC or reside (primary residence) in a household whose head-of-household is an active AVEC member.

E) The recipient must be enrolled upon awarding of scholarship in a college, technical/vocational school, or trade school either full-time or part-time.

F) The recipient must have graduated from high school, received a GED, or graduate by the year the application is submitted.

G) The recipient must have a minimum cumulative GPA of not less than 2.0 on their high school transcript and any recent college or higher learning enrollment.

H) The recipient must sign the application indicating that they have carefully reviewed this document and understand the criteria, obligations and requirements outlined in this application.

I) Scholarship use must commence within six months from the date the winner was announced.
