The Friends of the California State Fair Scholarship Program is a collaborative effort between the Friends of the California State Fair, the California Exposition & State Fair, the California State Fair Agricultural Advisory Council, the Ironstone Concours D’Elegance Foundation, Blue Diamond Growers and Western Fairs Association.
This program seeks to motivate well-rounded, high academic achievers in pursuit of their careers and life goals. Preference will be given to individuals with broad personal, civic and academic experience. Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of their personal commitment and goals established for their chosen field, leadership potential, civic accomplishments, as well as qualifications for the category entered and the completeness of the application packet.
A) Must be enrolled in or planning to enroll in a four-year California accredited college, community college, university, or an accredited trade school.
B) Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.
C) Must be a California resident with a valid ID.
D) Employees and immediate family members of employees and Board Directors of the California Exposition and State Fair, Friends of the California State Fair, the California State Fair Agricultural council, Cultural Advisory Committee and the Ironstone Concours Foundation are not eligible for this program.
E) Scholarship packets must be submitted with complete information, with one (1) Official Transcript sent directly from the educational institution, and one (1) unofficial included in the packet.
F) Must be postmarked or delivered to the Friends of the California State Fair by date and time on application.
G) Be specific in which Scholarship category you wish to apply for, as you may only apply to one.
