The John Armiger Scholarship Fund is funded by the generous contributions of individual donors and organizations. We are happy to acknowledge several initial contributions which helped us establish the scholarship fund in 2011. Generous contributions were received from the Baltimore County Police Foundation, Inc., the Association of Baltimore County Retired Police, Inc. and the Baltimore County Police Memorial Fund, Inc.
Who may apply:
Full time undergraduate students (minimum 12 credit hours per semester) attending a Maryland college or university who are preparing for career in the uniformed public safety field, i.e., Law Enforcement, Corrections, and/or Fire/Rescue/EMS.

When to apply:
Applications are accepted between January 15th and March 31st each year.
When scholarships are awarded:
It is the goal to award scholarships each fall and spring semester.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
A) The applicant must have already earned a minimum of 30 college credits.
B) Be a U.S. Citizen residing in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or the District of Columbia and currently enrolled in a Maryland college or university.
C) Applicant must be seeking a career in law enforcement, corrections, or fire/rescue/EMS with a Maryland public safety agency. Additionally, the applicant must certify that they meet the minimum hiring criteria for a Maryland public safety agency as established by Maryland law and/or regulation, and local laws, regulations, and/or policies.
