Beginning with the Fall Incoming Freshmen Class, Murray State is implementing a new Academic Achievement Scholarship system.
Rules and Regulations
A) Awarded at the time of admission
B) Students qualify for only one Academic Achievement Scholarship
C) Awards are for up to four years at Murray State, or until Bachelor's degree is obtained (whichever occurs first)
D) Scholars must meet GPA and academic progress requirements each year to renew
E) Academic Achievement Scholarships can be applied to direct costs (tuition, on-campus housing, meal plan charges, etc.)
Renewal requirements
A) Maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA
B) Enroll full-time (at least 12 credit hours per semester)
C) Earn at least 24 credits hours within the academic year (fall & spring semesters combined)
D) Participate in the Honors College if receiving a Trustee Scholarship
E) Cannot be combined with Presidential Fellowship, Marvin D. Mills Scholarship, GSP/GSA Scholarships or National Merit Finalist Scholarship. If a student qualifies for both an Academic Achievement Scholarship and one of the other previously listed scholarships, they will be given the scholarship that best benefits the student.
