Minority Educator Recruitment and Retention Scholarship


Scholarship Value: $5,000
Awards Available: 10

To be eligible for the Minority Educator Recruitment and Retention Scholarship a student must:

A) Be a Kentucky resident.

B) Be a U.S. citizen.

C) Be a member of an ethnic minority as defined by the school and state law.

D) Be enrolled full-time in a participating Kentucky college.

E) Major in teacher education.

F) Be seeking initial teacher certification.

G) Maintain a 2.75 GPA.

H) Teach one semester in Kentucky for each semester the scholarship is received.

I) Repay the scholarship plus interest if does not complete program or service requirement.
