As part of our ongoing commitment to heighten people’s awareness and understanding of preventable birth injuries, Reiter & Walsh, P.C. is pleased to announce the creation of a new annual scholarship. One scholarship for financial assistance in the amount of $1,500 will be awarded each year to a university or law school student who sustained a birth injury or who has a family member affected by a birth injury.
The 2015 scholarship will be awarded to a single applicant who submits the required application and essay by the July 31st, 2015 deadline.
Eligibility: Applicants must meet the following criteria:
A) Be a U.S citizen or permanent resident.
B) A law student at an accredited U.S. law school or an undergraduate/ graduate student at an accredited U.S. university who sustained an injury at birth or has an immediate family member (brother, sister, mother or father) affected by a birth injury.
C) Enrolled as a full time student and have a current GPA of at least 3.0.
Award:
A) Scholarship is to be used exclusively for law school/university tuition and related academic expenses.
B) A check for $1,500 will be made payable to the award recipient’s school to cover these expenses.
C) The 2015 winner will be notified on or about August 31st, 2015.
Winner provides personal information, as needed, to Reiter & Walsh, P.C. and authorizes the firm to publish his or her name and photo, the name of the university or law school, and the essay of the winner on one or more of the firm’s websites and other marketing materials.
