We want to put an end to distracted driving among your drivers. Toward that end, the car accident lawyers at Abrahamson & Uiterwyk are offering a $1,500 scholarship to Florida undergrad students.

We are asking students to write an essay of 500 to 1,000 words admitting to their most common distracted driving habits, and to describe the specifically how and why they intend to put an end to those deadly habits.
A) Applicants must be EITHER out-going Florida high school seniors (graduating summer 2020) OR students currently enrolled in a Florida college, trade school, or university as of the start of the fall 2020 semester.
B) Applicants must apply by Friday, July 31, 2020.
What do I need to write about in my essay?
We want to encourage students to take a critical look at the ways in which they commonly become distracted while they are driving. Distractions include phone-related activities like texting, scrolling social media, or changing music. Distractions could also involve more "real world" interruptions such as turning around to to talk to friends, applying makeup, or wearing headphones. Then we want students to reflect on and document how they intend to put an end to those distracted driving behaviors and why it's crucial that they do so.
What is the deadline for submission?
Applications must be received by no later than Friday, July 31, 2020.
When will the winner be selected and notified?
A winner will be selected by no later than Friday, August 14, 2020.
