Purpose and History: Originally established in 1999 by John Grubb and Louise Sumner to provide scholarships to Hiwassee students and Hiwassee graduates going on to a 4-year college or university. The scholarship has been expanded to include any Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) accredited public or private, non-profit college or university in Tennessee.
Scholarship Amount: $2,000 per year award for 4 years
