Jean Hunse Scholarship

Jean Hunse became a certified public accountant in 1943, started and later served as president of the American Association of Women CPA's, and opened her own accounting firm in Kalamazoo in 1977. This scholarship was established in her honor and provides financial assistance to students studying business at Western Michigan University.

Eligibility Criteria

Collegiate junior, senior, or fifth-year senior who is a Kalamazoo County resident or has graduated from a Kalamazoo County high school. Currently enrolled in business full or part time at Western Michigan University. Minimum 3.5 GPA. Must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement. Preference will be given to students majoring in accounting. Must show financial need according to the FAFSA.
