Background
The David W. Lakamp Scholarship was established in memory of David W. Lakamp, a former President of Professional Practice Insurance Brokers of Redwood City, California and a founding member of a/e ProNet. Mr. Lakamp specialized in the delivery of professional liability insurance to architects and engineers. He was a graduate of Purdue University and George Washington University from which he obtained a Master of Arts degree in Science, Technology and Public Policy. David W. Lakamp left behind a legacy of professionalism and integrity that set new standards in the field of insurance services.
Eligibility Requirements
A) Architecture student attending any school of architecture
B) Interests and studies should be focused on the cutting edge of architectural design, and in combination with an allied or another field of study
C) Legal resident of the United States or international student with a valid U.S. Student Visa
D) Full-time or part-time enrollment at a two- or four-year college/university
