ALLEN S LOREEN VAN DE KERK HOVE FAMILY FOUNDATION
In the summer of 1989 the family owned company was sold. The Vandekerkhove family wanted to continue their community support. They established The Allen and Loreen Vandekerkhove Family Foundation in the fall of the same year. The family has always recognized the health of a vibrant community is based on those who are willing to give back to it. The size of the gift, whether it be monetary or volunteer hours does not matter. The true gift is in the giving.
Within the corporate world the act of giving back to the community allows for the customer to also participate in indirect gifting through the corporation. The customer supports the company , and in turn the company supports the community. When the Vandekerkhove family sold their company they felt that the customers who were so loyal for the twenty-two years it was operational still deserved the support of the foundation. And so the Allen and Loreen Vandekerkhove Family Foundation was born.
