Campus: Facilities, Residence and Location

The university offers Residence Life Program which gives students the most conducive environment for personal enrichment and academic excellence. Some of the residences offered are: The University Hall Residence, which offers 200 single and double rooms in the halls themselves. The coulee Junction Cafe and The Library are easily accessible in this place. Another residential unit is the Kianai House, which can house 120 students in a one, two or four fully-furnished bedroom units. There is an available laundry facility, computer, study, cardiovascular, television, and games room in this apartment. It is also a short walk away from the campus centre. The advantage of living inside the campus is that aside from having the opportunity to take part in scheduled programs, such as time management, study skills, library use, movie nights, resume writing, interview skills, health and nutrition, and exam preparation, students can become more involved in the happenings of the campus, build bonds with people, and develop friendships.

Student Services and Student Life

The university provides a lot of services to its students. Among them are: Advising, Athletics (Hockey, soccer, rugby, track and field, swimming, basketball, and judo teams), Bookstore, Career Resources Centre, Arts and Science Co-operative Education, Management Co-operative Education, Career and Employment Services, Catering and Food Services, Chaplaincy, Conference and Event Services, Counselling Services (confidential and free of charge), Health Centre, Library, The Meliorist (student newspaper), Physical (PE) Facilities (gymnasium, fitness room, tennis courts, track), Scholarships and Student Finance, Support Services for Aboriginal Students, and many others.

The university caters to well-balanced avenues for students to balance their lives with their academic studies and personal growth through their student union. Aside from representing students in political issues, it also offers 12 email stations for students, tips and advice about relationships, hangouts, and computer assistance to students. The campus radio station of the university is CKX-FM, broadcasting at 88.3 FM.

The university is represented in Canadian Interuniversity Sport by the Lethbridge Pronghorns, formerly known as the Chinooks. They have men's and women's teams in basketball, ice hockey, judo, rugby union, soccer, swimming, and track and field. The Pronghorns have won national championships in men's hockey (1994) and women's rugby (2007,2008). The university has an intramurals program. The home arena for the Pronghorns is First Choice Saving Centre. The new gym includes three full size basketball courts, an indoor track field, a rock-climbing wall, and an exercise room. The construction was finished in Fall 2006 and is open to public on the membership basis.

Lethbridge is a city in the province of Alberta, Canada, and the largest city in southern Alberta. It is Alberta's fourth-largest city by population after Calgary, Edmonton, and Red Deer and the third-largest by area. Lethbridge's economy has traditionally been agriculture-based; however, it has diversified in recent years. Half of the workforce is employed in the health, education, retail and hospitality sectors, and the top five employers are government-based.

Lethbridge has a moderate continental climate with an average maximum temperature of 12.3 °C and an average minimum temperature of -1.0 °C. Mass transit in Lethbridge consists of 40 buses operating on more than a dozen routes, which includes some shuttle routes, such as University of Lethbridge to Lethbridge College, University of Lethbridge to the North Lethbridge terminal, and Lethbridge College to the North Lethbridge terminal.
