The College is located in the city of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Its facilities include: the University College Bookstore, Computer Labs, Food Bank, and the Library. As of early 2007, St. Mary’s campus underwent major changes in its academic expansion. Many of its buildings were transformed into newer classrooms, cafeteria, common areas, and a bookstore. The water tower underwent brace reinforcements to protect it from collapse. Since the buildings have heritage status, only the building’s exteriors were altered, and not the interiors.
Students at St. Mary's compete in men's & women's basketball, women's volleyball, and men & women's futsal. The Campus Integrity and Human Rights Policy promotes the integrity and human rights on campus by developing awareness of and dealing with concerns in a timely and professional manner. Campus Recreation and Wellness gives its students, faculty and staff a very broad range of physical activities, programs and services that promote the well-being in mind, spirit, and body. These activities may include climbing, awareness weeks, intramurals, CPR and first aid, movie nights, yoga, and weight training. Counselling and Health Services includes pastoral and personal counseling of its students. Food service has a cafeteria which offers soup, sandwiches, baked goods, beverages and other items for breakfast, lunch, and snacks. It also has food and beverage vending machines available after the counter has closed. The Learning Centre offers individual consultations for writing and learning support, weekly writing seminars and academic strategy sessions for groups, computers and various assisted technology software, and a collection of writing handbooks, style manuals and reference materials.
St. Mary's programs and courses include: Bachelor of Education (Elementary) Degree Program, Biological Sciences Transfer Program, Business/Managment Transfer Program, Catholic Educators' Programs, Course Descriptions, Degree Programs, Humanities 101: An Odyssey, Inclusive Post-Secondary Education, Liberal Arts and Sciences, Minor Programs, and Youth Ministry Certificate.
The College offers the following entrance scholarships to students: Frank Buckley Entrance Scholarship, Robert Spence Foundation Scholarships, Nicole Gagnon Scholarship, Maughan Family Scholarship, Joseph and Maria Dobish Scholarship, St. Vincent Pallotti Entrance Scholarship, Notre Dame des Rocheuses Scholarship, Bishop O'Byrne Entrance Scholarship, and St. Bonaventure Parish Entrance Scholarship.
