The College is located in Red Deer, Alberta Canada. It is situated in the central Alberta corridor between Calgary and Edmonton. It is near the Queen Elizabeth II highway, and only an hour and a half’s drive from the major provincial city centers. The CollegeSide is a partnership project of the David Thompson Health Region, RDC, and the Bethany Care Society. It is a unique home-like facility for students who study under the computer, humanities, performing arts, and also nursing and rehabilitation departments.
In 2005, the college constructed a $29 million fund for an initiative called “Healthy Communities Complex.” It is also undergoing a “greener campus” campaign that helps to inform and educate the College community of the value of energy and water conservation. The school will implement more programs, such as recycling, and alternative modes of transportation (bicycling and walking).

The Students' Association of Red Deer College is the governing body of the students. Its mission is to "enrich and enhance the quality of student life at Red Deer College by providing affordable and quality services, effective political representation and exciting opportunities for its members." Aside from representing the students in matters of advocacy and rights protection, some of its other services include: locker rentals, faxing, used bookstore, poster approval, food bank, and photocopiers.

Red Deer is a city in central Alberta, Canada. The City of Red Deer is centrally located between the two major cities of Calgary and Edmonton. Red Deer's central location, growing economy and competitive advantage are fast making the Red Deer Corridor 'Canada's Economic Capital'. The city is a centre for oil and agriculture distribution, and the surrounding region is a major centre for petrochemical production.
